Certificate in Humanitarian Assistance in the Americas

Description

The Certificate for Humanitarian Assistance in the Americas is a four week course designed to develop or improve the skills of persons interested in providing emergency health services in humanitarian emergencies in Latin America. The entire course will be taught in Spanish by professionals who work in the humanitarian assistance field. Participants must be able to read English well, however. Students will be assigned to teams in which they will be working and living throughout the four week program.

After thoroughly considering the status of the Certificate for Humanitarian Assistance in the Americas program in Panama, we have decided that it is best to postpone it until next year. The immense tasks of recovery and humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina have impacted both our presenters and our participants.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause you. We will post new information on this website as soon as we have determined new dates for the course. Thank you very much.
