Registered Nurse to Bachelor�s Degree (RN/BS)
The College of Nursing at the University of South Florida offers a bachelor's program leading to a Bachelor of Science (BS) with a major in Nursing. The RN/BS option allows the RN with an associate’s degree in nursing to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Admission Requirements:
The College of Nursing suggests that RN to Bachelor’s students complete all 12 undergraduate nursing pre-requisite courses before starting the bachelor’s program. However, a student can be admitted to the RN to Bachelor’s program with the minimum completion of English 1, English 2, Statistics, and either College Algebra or Finite Math. Students with these courses completed, with a C or better, may be accepted into the program and complete the remainder of their pre-requisites while enrolled at USF.
**Out of state ASN/AA degrees will be evaluated course by course.

Exit Requirements (Upper Level) - 6 hours of upper-level exit credits are required:
Students with a Florida Community College AA degree (other than
in nursing) will be considered to have met all of the USF Liberal
Arts requirements but also must meet specific college requirements.
Students in Florida Community Colleges can obtain information
about equivalent courses from advisors or by viewing the equivalencies
at Community Colleges within the USF service area.
Students are required to meet the university requirement for
Foreign language.
