Application Process

Students will be considered for admission to the Neuroscience Concentration (NC) through application to the Ph.D. Program in Medical Sciences. Applications should include a statement of purpose, official transcripts and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores, and other information required by the Graduate School of the University of South Florida. Applicants should also arrange for three (3) letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with their academic performance and abilities.

Applications for direct admission to the Concentration will be evaluated by the Neuroscience Concentration Committee (NCC). To be considered, applicants must meet the requirements for admission. Students may also enter the Neuroscience Concentration following admission to one of the basic science departments in the Ph.D. Program in Medical Sciences, if they have approval of their department and meet the admission requirements for the Neuroscience Concentration.
