The Graduate Faculty of the College of Medicine consists of scientists who conduct research in many fields of science basic to understanding disease processes and to the development of improved methods of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. In addition to training graduate students, the faculty is responsible for the comprehensive pre-clinical training of medical students in the sciences fundamental to the modern practice of medicine. Students receive their research training in current methods of scientific investigation and gain experience in state of the art, well-equipped laboratories. The faculty is dedicated in providing high quality education in an environment conducive to scholarly activity and scientific achievement. |
