USF IRB recognized FL-DOH IRB, and both IRBs have received national accreditation by AAHRPP. Special thanks to Dr. Robert Hood (Assistant Director of Public Health Research, Florida Department of Health) and Cheryl Byers (Director, Research Integrity & Compliance) for making this happen. This collaboration will allow research conducted within the umbrella of USF and FL-DOH to submit application only to the DOH IRB, and thus eliminate duplicate work and increase efficiencies in our clinical research activities.
