National Prominence: A USF delegation traveled to Thailand for the 2009 International Medical Summit and the signing of a Collaboration & Student Exchange Program Agreement. The student exchange, beginning in 2010, will allow for joint medical training. More...

Research: Please join me in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Stephen Edberg. Dr. Edberg is relocating from Yale to USF. He is an internationally renowned scientist whose contributions to clinical microbiology have impacted the bench, the bedside and global health. He has laid the groundwork for many of today's rapid identification methods. One of Dr. Edberg's significant contributions to global health was his development of the "Colilert" test for the detection and enumeration of Escherichia coli in drinking water under field and laboratory conditions.
