Elective Courses
We suggest that students check the courses listed in the USF course catalogue for each semester. Frequently courses under Humanities, Anthropology, Public Health, Philosophy, Religion, Art, etc. can be approved as electives. When a course does not pertain directly to bioethics or medical humanities, students should seek advice and approval from the program director or designated advisor.
For example, those students concentrating on Humanities, courses such as the following might be considered: Representing Trauma, Haitian Cultural Outlook, and Latin America: Music & Literature. The last two, with some workload adjustments, might suit students who are intent on cultural issues and healthcare.
