Biographical Sketch
Dr. Schocken has joint academic appointments with the College of Medicine, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the College of Public Health, and Department of Gerontology in the College of Arts and Sciences at USF. In addition to serving as the Director of Cardiovascular Services at the Moffitt Cancer Center, Dr. Schocken also works as a physician at Tampa General Hospital and at the James A. Haley VA Hospital, where he served as Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Co-Director of the Noninvasive Laboratory. Prior to moving to Florida, he held positions in Durham, North Carolina, where he received his medical training, and in Baltimore, Maryland, with Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore City Hospitals. His term at the Baltimore City Hospital also included a Fellowship with the Gerontology Research Center.
