During the first years of the Department's inception, donations were solicited from equipment and pharmaceutical companies which has insured permanent funding of an outstanding Visiting Professor Program. Visiting Professor lectures are scheduled throughout the year. The Department brings internationally recognized authorities in the field of anesthesiology to Tampa to spend two days with the residents and the faculty.

The opportunity to meet leading figures in anesthesiology augments the Department's educational mission by offering different points of view and intellectual stimulation for the residents.
