04-23-08 Never share your email or password with anyone!
USF HEALTH IS wants to make sure you do not put yourself, your identity and your email account at RISK. No official institution or representative of any USF computing department, including even the CIO of USF HEALTH IS, Jim McKenzie, will ever ask for your USF HEALTH email ID and password via email.

Warning! If you ever get a request via an email for this information, do not send your information via email or share it with anyone!
If you have questions, or have suspicions of such a request that you receive, please call our help desk at 974-6288.

Neither USF Health IS or USF IT – nor your banking institutions, will EVER contact you via email requesting personal identification information. Should you receive any email asking for this type of information always please disregard it and delete it.

For example, recently an email was sent out requesting validation of email and password information that looked like an official USF EMAIL request. 3 of our users did respond and their email ID and passwords were then used to send over 70,000 pieces of spam mail to our customers over the last three days, which impacts the mail system.

Note: No official institution will ever ask you to verify your account information via an email. Do not send or share your ID and password with anyone, no matter how official it looks.

12-05-07 Server Outage
On Wednesday, December 5th, we will be performing critical upgrades to our database servers that will require an outage between the hours of 5:30 pm-7pm. This outage will impact the following applications:

• HART/Datawarehouse
• Footprints: USF HEALTH IT Customer Support Portal
• Questionmark
• All Coldfusion applications:
  Cancer Screening ,Clinical Studies, 4th Year Drop/Add, COM Ethnicity, CON Faculty Evals, CON Online Application, Dept Crosswalk, Resident Evaluations, FacDot, COM Faculty Evaluations, Faculty Recruitment, Health Directory, Prosthetics and Ortho Demo, hscwebext, Immunizations, Impress, M&M report (Near Misses), K30 online application, Library User Lookup, Professionalism, Reports application, Research Directory, Residents, Rooms, SDAccounts, SIRS, Student Notes, Summer Program, All Support Desk Web Functions (authorized signers etc), Tsibris, Update Directory (HSC directory),USF Heals.
• All Panther Applications:
  FADS, Support Desk, Library Database, Receiving Database, Common Paysource Database

12-02-07  Increase on USF HEALTH Email Quotas coming on 12/10/07
On December 10th, 2007, all USF Health email account quotas will increase from 500meg to 1Gig. To make this change, on Saturday, December 8th, 2007, from 9pm-10pm, there will be an email outage. Read about this in the recent email notification that went out on 12/3/07.
