This how to guide demonstrates how to upload non-CMS department web pages onto USF Health web servers. Web pages and associated files may be uploaded via FTP or network share.
FTP Using WS-FTP
The WS-FTP software can be downloaded from our Windows Shareware Archive page. The following two figures illustrate the settings needed to configure WS-FTP to access your department's web folder.

The following information must be entered in the WS-FTP Session Properties dialog boxes:
Host Name: health.usf.edu
User ID: hscnet \ [your HSCNET login]
Initial Remote Site Folder: [this information will be given to your by Health IT]
FTP Using Dreamweaver
For Dreamweaver users, the following figure shows the configuration settings to use Dreamweaver to connect to your department's web folder.

The following information will needed in the Site Definition Wizard:
Access: FTP
FTP Host: health.usf.edu
Host Directory: [this information will be given to your by Health IT]
User ID: hscnet \ [your HSCNET login]
Network Share
To upload files via a network share, you must be inside the USF Health firewall. The following figures illustrate how to access your department's web directories.
First, click on the Start button, and select Run.

In the Run Dialog box, type in \\hscwebblade8\wwwroot (If you are accessing the network share using Secure Remote, use \\hscwebblade8.hscnet.hsc.usf.edu\wwwroot )

Windows Explorer will open in the root directory of the web server. Simply navigate to the directory assigned for your department's web site
