Leica Ultracut E Ultramicrotomes
The two Leica Ultracut E ultramicrotomes in the lab are among the easiest ultramicrotomes to use that have ever been produced. These microtomes are capable of sectioning plastic-embedded samples to produce thick sections (0.3-1μ thick) for optical microscopy and thin sections (50-100nm) for electron microscopy. The microtomes are extremely accurate sectioning devices which are available for use by Core staff and researchers using the Core facilities.
