Scholar Projects
An important requirement of the Institute’s year of study is that each scholar is responsible for developing and implementing a project in the scholar’s agency or community. The intent of the requirement is for the scholar to demonstrate leadership skills in addressing a public health issue that otherwise would not be addressed. These projects may be team-based, and where possible, should involve collaboration between the public and private sectors. Each scholar commits to working on a project of public health significance for the program year. The projects can be on an individual or group basis and can either be aimed at improving agency performance or addressing a community issue
