Chat
As members of the Public Health community in Florida, you are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the people of our state. You have exemplified this dedication by participating in and continuing to support the Public Health Leadership Institute of Florida.
In an effort to enhance your learning experience, complement the work of the PHLIF Alumni Network, and further sustain the PHLIF network, we are very pleased to offer a “Chat Service” to all program Scholars and Alumni.
This service is a complete chat server package which incorporates the features of sophisticated Java Chat applications without the need to download slow loading applets or software. We have a multi-room version that provides a total of 5 “rooms”: Lobby, Chat Rooms 1-3, and a Lecture Room for one way chat.
We are proud to have the best technology available and have set up this chat service so you can establish your own login (nickname) every time you want to use it. We recommend your login be either your full first name or your full last name in lower case (e.g., the login for Kirsten Miller would be either kirsten or miller). This will facilitate easy identification and maintain professionalism.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to communicate with other alumni, share ideas, discuss issues, keep your colleagues informed of changes in your professional or personal lives that you wish to share, and other uses you will discover. We value each of you as crucial representatives of the program, colleagues, and public health workers. We hope you wish to remain associated with the Institute through the chat room and other means.
Hold the “Control” key when you click on the link or must make sure that you are not blocking popup windows, as the chat room is a popup window.
